WellMed Charitable Foundation

Our team’s work for the Foundation has included field research, focus groups, several online videos and a massive email campaign targeting new potential corporate customers in four of America’s largest states. The multiple series email campaign during several months led potential customers to a specific landing page to sign up for periodic webinars about WCF’s expanding care-giving services and curriculum.

UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry

We’ve assisted UIWRSO through the years with focus groups, strategic messaging, website development and extensive new student acquisition videos, used online and during recruiting visits to schools across the U.S. The two most recent were for the Bowden Eye Care & Health Institute and the school’s Sports Vision Service assisting UIW’s student-athletes with hand-eye coordination and enhanced athletic performance. UIW is the only D-I school in America with this specific program.

San Antonio Shoe & Luggage Repair

When we started working with SAShoe – as they’re affectionately known in our office – they had something that resembled a “website” built by Yellow Pages. We built a new website with online videos where customers can download coupons and added a texting service where coupons are sent directly to their cell phones. The search campaign continues to drive traffic to the website. Shoe repair might be one of the oldest professions, but SAShoe is riding the digital wave with us.

Texas A&M-San Antonio

The (former) Dean of the College of Business was referred to us as the school was in danger of losing its state funding because of low enrollment and had less than three months to act. We hit the ground running and conducted focus groups, development new student acquisition messaging and videos and had a landing page where potential students could requested more information that went directly to the admissions office. Long story short – we exceeded the targeted number of new students and saved their state funding.

Financial Life Advisors

They came in as a referral and left as a case study.  Our opportunity was to help them develop a new brand strategy because they were spending so much time with the wrong type of customer.  So we interviewed various customers in smaller individual focus groups, developed new strategic messaging and then converted that into an animated video that explained FLA’s Unique Value Proposition in way that was more direct and easily understandable.  One of the principals said months later it was remarkable how effective the video and website were at helping vet prospective clients.

His background is an incredible mix of national marketing experience, battle-tested knowledge and enthusiasm forged during 30+ years of producing successful results for a spectrum of companies, ranging from Fortune 100 to online startups.

As an executive for some of the largest advertising agencies in Dallas and San Antonio, Steve developed and directed the integrated marketing campaigns for the largest accounts, while assisting with new business development. Before his marketing days, he served as an editor / reporter for The Associated Press and United Press International working on national news, sports and business stories in the Dallas bureau. One profound experience was serving as the youngest member of an international team of reporters covering Pope John Paul II’s historic visit to San Antonio.

As an active Christian, husband and father, Steve and his wife, Suzanne, raised three successful young men, each of whom were excellent student-athletes who excelled on the soccer pitch before starting their professional careers.
